About Course

Hyperios, a project under CORE, is focused on developing autonomous inspection robots for critical infrastructure. It encompasses two main projects: SPOT and the Heijmans Project. SPOT is an autonomous railway inspection robot created for ProRail, ensuring the safety and integrity of railway tracks and train cars. The Heijmans Project, an extension of SPOT’s success, aims to create a robot for inspecting ventilation shafts, particularly for fire safety, highlighting CORE’s commitment to addressing safety concerns in waste management and infrastructure. This project demonstrates CORE’s drive for practical innovation in infrastructure maintenance and safety.

The Winnetou project, a collaboration between CORE CHANGEMAKERS and ALOM, focuses on enhancing safety at unguarded railway crossings. This project leverages AI technology and acoustic data analysis to detect train movements and issue warnings, thereby preventing accidents. CORE contributes its extensive project experience and knowledge, while ALOM provides investment and expertise. The primary goal of the project is to develop a Proof of Principle with a focus on safety, demonstrating the practical application of advanced technologies to proactively address railway safety challenges.
